Questioning my sanity

Complemplating signing up for a half-marathon at the end of May. The longest I've run is my 10K + in October. Can it be done? Can I do it? These and other questions I need to ponder. I need to determine if I can overcome that psychological distance barrier once again.

Resolution? Goals? Moving on....

My hope for this year is to become healthier by becoming a more ACTIVE participant in life. Moving this body more, be it walking, running, cycling, dancing- any form of movement. By doing so, this will help me shed those 'last' 20 pounds. And actually, I'd be happy shedding 15, but we'll say 20 FTW. Some people may say "20 pounds, piece of cake" and for them it may be, but for me, it's like climbing a mountain and I'll do it one step at a time.

New Day, New Year.

Amazing what a good sleep and the start of a New Year can do for ones outlook.
In addition to leading the Red Team for the 2012 Resolution Revolution on the 3 Fat Chicks website, I am participating in The Shrink Yo'self 2012 at Shrinking Jeans. Net

Meanwhile, I'm working on specific resolutions for 2012. In general, I need to move more. I aim for a minimum of 10,000 steps per day on my pedometer. I've given up on the MyTrak device as it just didn't gel with my lifestyle (or computer use). I would like to get to the YMCA on a regular basis, but have a very difficult time finding time for myself.

How do you carve out that time for yourself??
